To Cheer or Not to Cheer
by Gregg Schwartz

As hopefully everyone knows, spending a Cheer will turn one of your opponent's positive-actions into a negative-action. They are great to have when you know your opponent is setting you up for a wicked combo or about the pound a helpless Character of yours. They are also great when you find a flaw in your opponent's strategy that can be exploited by taking flow. Be careful, however, because spending cheer can be addictive! As soon as you have it you want to spend it.

My advice is to spend Cheer sparingly in the first two waves, and only when absolutely necessary. Once the third and forth waves start, things will get nasty, with raging Gladiators unsetting and all sorts of danger surrounding you. This is when you will need your Cheer.

When one of your Gladiators unsets through Raging, BAM, use a Cheer and come straight back at your opponent with some new damage. Therefore, setting your Raging Gladiators early in the Wave might be useful so they can Unset, and plus you might even be able to muster a Cheer for it.

Another good way to use Cheer is right when a Minion advances, right before they attack. Hit them before they hit you!!!!

That’s it for now, as I don’t want to spoil your fun as you learn new and effective strategies. Remember not to pummel the newbies too hard. Well…then again…it’s always fun to see people learn lessons the hard way! If you have any Cheer questions, email me at gregg@ophidiangames.com or look for me online at AIM: MisterOphidian

Cheers,
Gregg
