October 24, 2003: Slobbering Bite

Slobbering Bite

This card packs a punch for cheap CP however it has a drawback, you have to scrap the pumped character at the end of the wave. On a simple level, play it on a minion you do not plan to keep for the next wave. On a more complex level, play it on a character you think will get targeted for many attacks. With a continuous +1 ADMG and the raging ability, you can attack with the character deal DMG, and then let your opponent attack him, causing him to unset. Great for characters with a lot of life like gladiators or if you have tricks up your sleeve like Distraction or Lesser Healing; however scrapping a character is big (especially if they are a gladiator) so make sure you have a Let Freedom Ring or Portalled Heist to get rid of it before it’s too late.
Note: If you use Slobbering Bite with Ryla’s Growth ability, once you scrap it, Slobbering Bite’s continuous +1 ADMG is gone. So if she was on level 1, she would deal 2 ADMG printed, then the +1 ADMG from Slobbering Bite, to a total of 3, but once you scrap Slobbering Bite, she goes back down to 2, then you get the +1 going back up to 3 ADMG.
Note: If Ryla is on level 3 or 4, her Hyper-Growth requires her to be raging. If she is not raging, then you put Slobbering Bite on her, she will be raging. Then if you attack with her, you can scrap it and not worry about her being raging to use the ability because the rage requirement was already met.
