Royal Guard

This 2nd Level Portal Minion is one of very few cards in the entire set that can intercept--worth a lot especially in an Arsenal low or lacking in healing or damage prevention. You do need two Portal Gladiators to bring it into play, but if you pay 2 CP or if you have Prince of Gates as a Gladiator on your team, the Royal Guard come into play in the Action Field instead of the Support Field! With that ability, the Royal Guard can go to work intercepting the next attack without wasting any time. Change in strategy? Royal Guard is still useful if you decide to attack with it: Having 2 Life and 2 ADMG, they are stronger and more durable than most puny minions like Drosh and Glubus. Don't have it in your hand? Try Prince of Gate's Presence ability, or the Zone: Breeding Larvae Fields which brings in a demonic Minion for zero CP at the end of a Wave.
