Subj: Leonide Security Delays Ophidian Match
There have been several problems in the Leonide System and some were related to Ophidian gladiator events. Two weeks ago, two Ophidian gladiators and more than a dozen Ramdeem Prime citizens were arrested on several charges. One of the gladiators, Pago, was held for further questioning because he was suspected to be involved in the Raskelon threat. Last week, during a race held in the Leonide System, one racer and two unidentified ships mysteriously vanished. Unofficial word blamed the Raskelons. No proof has been found so far to support or deny that claim.
This week, another event was to be held in New Ruege's second moon, however, security in charge of that event postponed it on grounds of potential problems that might occur in light of recent events. Right now, the security is double-checking all safety controls and questioning the gladiators that will compete in the event.

Subj: Ophidians Kidnap Gladiator
House of Kilflame and House Tempora in the Justich System say an act of sabotage was used to forcefully capture The Red Pariah, an Elder of Solop Avagar. Ophidian soldiers and troops were seen raiding the Elder's secret home and removing the Pariah. There is also unconfirmed reports of Ophidian Gladiator involvement.
Ophidian representatives said the acquisition was legit, according to a pre-determined agreement which they have in writing. They also said The Red Pariah came along peacefully, and the guards were present only to protect the Elder, not force him out.

Subj: Leonide Race Ends in Mystery
One racer is still missing from the Sarati Route Space Race and another's ship might have been sabotaged.
Eric "Blue Eye" Berca was last seen flying the ship Meredine Hope (a symbol of Leonide pride) into the anomaly known as Shandra’s Pocket with the other racers. The others came out with minor problems, however, he didn't. Two unidentified craft entered the anomaly with him, they too didn't leave. Unofficial word has it that the two ships might be from the Raskelon System and they are behind the vanishing. Raskelon officials deny involvement and ties are further strained between the Raskelons and the Leonides. Gercan Captain and winner of the race "Sting" Ray Raba and a few of his soldiers have volunteered to re-enter the anomaly try to find Berka.
In addition, Ophidian Gladiator H’Ronka’s ship was almost destroyed due to a malfunction during the race. After the race, technicians had found evidence that his ship’s weapon systems might have been sabotaged.
We will report any developments as they rise in this matter.
